Any news on Boys and Girls in London / Weekender style gigs in the UK next year? I cant remember when the tickets went on sale last time.
Fantastic gigs the last two years, don't want to miss the announcement...

Last year the announcement for the Camden Weekender was on the 23rd October, with the presale open to the Unified Scene the next day.

It has been confirmed, at least by Steve, but I think also by someone around the band, that London will happen, and that the dates are 6th to 8th of March.

I didn’t know that was your birthday time Del! Massive party in 2020 then seeing as you had the shoulder injury this year.

I’ll ask Craig on the merch desk in Bristol next month for onsale dates. Kinda hoping it’ll be a week after last year to give me time to recover from the Uptown Controllers shows financially! No doubt I’ll work something out though. Will start a rollcall thread for Bristol and Manchester soon. Who’s going?

The 8th is another location. Not either the locations of previous Sunday weekender shows. New venue.

New venue. Interesting... I wonder, seeing as they have to pack down the backline anyway after Saturday night whether they might hold this show outside of London? Manchester isn’t far in the grand scheme of things, and compared to US distances it’s practically as far as you’d go to get cheaper gas or something! Would love it if they were to do Band on The Wall. Or even, seeing as they have no trouble selling out Electric Ballroom for two nights, Academy 2. Craig told me at motorben’s house gig that they love playing rooms they know well, and Academy 2 falls into that category.

Unfortunately not Manchester mate. That would be great. But still London. Just not at either of the 2018 or 2019 locations that hosted night #3. New venue in that sense.

In the short conversation I had with Craig at the merch desk he stressed that it was London only. I don’t mind. I like my 3-night holiday to London every March and travelling up to Manchester or another city for the Sunday would just be extra travelling expense. That’s not to say I wouldn’t mind going to another city at some point. I’m travelling to Manchester tomorrow for his gig in the Deaf Institute on Wednesday but the weekenders have always been held in one city which I guess makes sense for a semi-regular touring band.

I wasn't running a marathon but interestingly I was eating a Snickers on Saturday wondering the same thing! C'mon lads, I need to book flights and hotels already. Let's get this started.

It's definitely going ahead first weekend in March - they announced it last year and Craig confirmed it on this tour. First two nights in Electric Ballroom. Not sure if night 3 is supposed to revealed so I'll leave that for the official announcement.

It’s definitely better to wonder what they’ll do on the Sunday next year than to check my e-mail every half hour and get disappointed!

Since there seems to be consensus about the dates, I just took a chance and booked everything. Plane tickets relatively cheap, and found a decent flat quite near the venue. Hopefully able to do all three nights!

Hopefully able to do all three nights! If it makes you feel even more comfortable I just checked out the listings on EB's website - first weekend is the only one "free"

Thinking of what other small venue they could do it in?
Scala too big? 100 Club? Village Underground? Islington town hall? Garage?
