Also, just a heads up to people on here. Indie stores will be getting a pressing variant on "brown" as well. Just a heads up if you're looking to Pokemon this shit! This is very good to know

I wish Esther was on there too, I'd say in these last couple of years of releasing songs here and there Esther was the best song of the current batch. I like it a little bit more the Entitlement Crew, which I like a lot also. First impression is that it's an out takes record. Better than nothing though. I think "T-shirt" could have also been a nice closer on this record as well, especially with the songs tonal shift & message at the end of the song... "Let's all try to tell a little truth tonight" /fin. ha
Totally agree - T-Shirt or Esther would've been my pick for album closer. Confusion was never one of my favorites of these recent releases but I'm sure it will grow on me just like every other THS track. And yes, Denver Haircut absolutely slaps.

Yeah, it feels good that a new album is on the way, even though we've heard most of it allready. The artwork, the physical copies and (importantly, in some ways) a specific reference point for this exact era of the band. These songs, the new ones from late 2017 and everything that's been released after them, will now be TTTP songs. And I kinda like that.
Denver Haircut was really good, by the way. Still not in the same league as Entitlement Crew, Star 18 or Stove And The Toaster for me, but still rocking good.

I’d really love a deluxe edition of HiW. I love that record and go back to it fairly often. I thought I remembered reading around the time it came out that Franz had tracked some keys but they cut them from the LP when he left. It’d be cool to hear a reimagined version. This is probably doubtful, since Craig (and others?) have talked about how HiW and TD are low points for the band so they likely don't have an interest in re-visiting them. But reworking those albums to include Franz would be an interesting exercise.

But reworking those albums to include Franz would be an interesting exercise. Revisiting those albums with the full 6-piece band would be incredible. Doubt they'll get the full "10-Year-Anniversary-Deluxe-Edition treatment", but a handful of shows where they play the whole album front-to-back like they've done for Almost Killed Me, Sep Sunday, Boys & Girls, and last summer for Stay Positive would be great. Even if they are the quote-unquote "low points" there are still a lot of great tracks on those albums that deserve to be heard more often.

I fully support THS making a Green Day reference in Denver! ha Wasn't Billie Joe Armstrong sort of a friend of Lifter Puller? I seem to remember Craig talking about Armstrong bringing Joe Strummer to one of their shows. I'm not enough into Green Day to catch the reference. Could you enlighten me?

I think from 97-2002 it was pretty much everyone's class song. ha Also on the BJ tip, I do believe so and Jesse Malin is a really good friend of BJ and I know Jesse is friends with THS guys.

As for the tracklist, I’m quite happy. I would have liked it to be all new but they picked 3 of the same ones I would have (Entitlement Crew, T-Shirt Tux and Star 18) and having a new seventh LP is more than I ever expected. Still not fond of that title but it’ll grow on me in time. Truncated to Thrashing, no doubt.

Just went to preorder the cola bottle vinyl only to realise it’s sold out on its own and with the bundle so the decision was made up for me already and I preordered the brown vinyl from my nearest Rough Trade!

Damn, I’m surprised the clear is sold out already. I wonder how many they pressed. I skipped it and went for the brown via Bull moose because of the price. Ah well.

Denver Haircut is really good. Not spectacular in any way, just plain good.
And these lines are so beautiful and dense:
The stench of death in the credits. The montage set to the time of your life. A shot in the dark in a bar that's too bright. A window sucking up all the available light, right?

I just did that. Deluxe with coke bottle + black + brown. I haven't got that many interests who require heavy investements, so a few copies of a new record by my favourite band should be allright.

I’m gonna go mad finding a coke bottle one! Not too bothered with the black one but I’ll never say never!!

He talks about it in the Celebration Rock podcast, he’s friends with Billie Joe, who’s done a bunch of stereotypical THS things: toured with/did a split with/ripped off to the point of getting in legal trouble The Dillinger 4 (American Idiot’s opening riff is from DOUBLEWHISKEYCOKENOICE), played in/is friends with/covers The Replacements (once with Tad Kubler & Little Stevie), wrote two Springsteen punk concept albums about people with religious names.... I’m not saying Green Day are good, i’m saying there’s more like THS than people realise).
