I’m Australian, and i’ve noticed THS are connected to 2 of our biggest pop punk bands. The first is The Living End. Craig co-wrote and Franz played on their album White Noise, which is also the name of the first single. The phrase White Noise shows up in a few THS songs.
The second is the incredible Smith Street Band, who’s Springsteen influenced, joyous punk has made them very popular here. The first song on their first album has the phrase ‘almost killed me’, which I thought was a coincidence but then I heard another song with ‘constructive summer’ in the lyrics. There’s also a Wil Wagner solo song that name drops THS’ influences Springsteen and The Mountain Goats.
Tho not pop punk, our most popular rock band at the moment, Gang Of Youths, are big fans of Titus Andronicus and recorded with their producer, so they’ll probably find their way to THS.

'Go Farther in Lightness' is an incredible record, one of my favorites this year. "Atlas Drowned" is an absolute banger; it there's been a line that better describes our current situation in the US than "the whole institution is rigged / and the ship's going down" then I don't know what it is. Also, Tlon - check your PM's brother.
