So, they seem to have added some additional backing vocals from Ben Nichols on the new Stay Positive deluxe version of Constructive Summer. Definitely a deliberate decision that makes it different than the original. What does everyone think? Still getting used to it over here.

Wow, that's weird. Haven't heard the remaster yet, I was focusing on the demos and the bonus tracks when it first hit Spotify. But I will now.
Isn't this a stretch for a "remaster" then? Even though the vocals could have been recorded at the original sessions (they likely are, since he's also singing on Magazines), this should constitute a "remix"?

this really threw me off. so strange. i went back to the original just to see if i'd never noticed them before (like if they were very buried in the mix) and they're not there at all. i wonder if they did anything else to the mix?

I also went back to check out the same thing. I remember hearing Banging Camp like 50 times before discovering the "lalalalala" backing vocals in between the verses, so it could be I missed something in Constructive Summer as well. But it just isn't there. Gonna listen closely to the rest of the record tonight. |

Ok. Even weirder. Got the vinyl today (yay!) and the extra vocals aren’t there. Seems like someone messed up the digital files?

They should record a Moshpit Josh version on a seven inch, and sell it at live shows.
