Folks, can I just check I’m not going mad here- my innersleeve for the second LP has the lyrics for the songs on LP1 (Constructive Summer to Lord I’m Discouraged) printed (again) on it instead of the songs it should have. The sleeve even says ‘LP2 Side C’ then has the words for Constructive Summer right underneath.
I hope this is just a rogue batch- can anyone check theirs? Mine came from the UK store.

Mine's the same, I'm US and ordered from Bull Moose - the vinyl looks labeled correctly. I'll have to listen tonight or this weekend to check sound quality.

Same issue here. Sleeve for disc one printed twice, instead of lyrics for stay positive, magazines etc. Thankfully the vinyl is fine and songs all there when played.
Bit annoying but can't see myself going to the effort of returning it!

I'd say more of Craig's solo stuff falls under this bracket although I do like it more when it's THS doing it. agreed all around. A full record based around the sound of the songs I listed is my THS wish. I'm not holding my breath, but I'd love it. I'm in the same boat. I love Sweet Part Of The City and I think Both Crosses is really well-made and cool. But I think Craig's solo approach to it (especially on Faith In The Future) is more fitting. It's like Hold Steady just can't/won't go soft enough to really make it work (or at least make it sound plausible that an album's worth of such material will hold up). Esther is sort of in this category as well. And all those songs are good, they're just not massive highlights.

Pre-order shipping after the street date (despite ordering on the announcement day), no download code while also releasing all of those demos (assumed it would be similar to all of the other reissues), and a printing error? Not a happy customer at all and I haven't even received it yet. I just had to rant somewhere...
Though I did listen on Spotify and loved the three new tracks! It's so awesome to finally hear a studio version of Hauler. I didn't even know that they ever recorded that one! It was also really interesting hearing how much some tracks changed from their demo state. Really glad that Craig completely rewrote the lyrics to Spectres and cleaned up Two Handed Handshake! Haha

Yep, a touch annoyed its only just arrived 5 days after the promised release date. Also got misprinted inner. However. its a beautiful looking set - can't wait to stick it on the turntable and give it a blast. I think like most it will be the B-sides/unreleased tracks first!
The poster is lovely too.

Has there been a THS vinyl release without problems yet? As I recall, the gold TD vinyl was bad, one side of the SS vinyl was bad, and now a misprinted sleeve. I guess it's progress...

I never got a shipping notification email, and my account page at KRM says it shipped a week ago (but still says tracking isn't available). I guess I'll see it someday.

Very cool they're offering both a physical and digital replacement for the sleeve. I'm pretty disappointed in their response to the download question, though. Streaming is fine but I like actually owning digital items so they can't disappear at the whims of streaming services. Boo.

Yeah, I really want the b-sides for my playlist of non-album stuff that mostly isn't on streaming services. Also a really poor excuse.

Has anyone received their replacement sleeve yet following the printing error? I'm still waiting, and having waited over a year for the 'Rags' ep in the past, I'm not especially optimistic!

I finally got around to listen to my physcial copy of Stay Positive today, and can't help thinking that every single THS vinyl sound pretty bad. Are there any exceptions? From what I can recall, every single of them, from orginal pressings to reissues, sounds noticabley worse than their CD/streaming counterparts. I admit that my stereo system isn't ideal for loud and heavy records, and Mountain Goats or Bob Dylan sound a lot better on it than Japandroids or TItus Andronicus. But still, the gap between CD and LP is almost never as big as with the THS records. They all sound like the cheapest and most lightweight pressings I own of other albums, and sometimes not even that. Currently listening to a quite mediocre pressing of Pavement's Brighten The Corners, and it's still miles clearer and more focused than all of the THS reissues on heavyweight LPs. Don't mean to be negative here, but there most be someone in or around the band who are able to hear the same thing? And I don't know if it's an issue with the pressing themselves or the mixing, but there has to be something wrong here.

I picked up a copy of the last 'Almost Killed Me' reissue in Baltimore a few weeks back and haven't noticed anything off about it yet, but haven't listened too closely; mostly just had it on while cooking dinner and such. I'll have to give a closer listen. Admittedly I never bothered picking up the last 'Separation Sunday' pressing because of all the complaints.

I'll have to give a closer listen. Admittedly I never bothered picking up the last 'Separation Sunday' pressing because of all the complaints. I need to have a second listen myself, but I seem to remember Almost Killed Me is the album who's sounded best on vinyl, at least in my opinion. But then again, the general sound of Almost Killed Me (on any format) is pretty much my favourite Hold Steady sound/production/mix. Separation Sunday is close, but I prefer CD and even digital to both the orginal pressing and the remaster of the vinyl. I'm actually really curious about how a song like Entitlement Crew would sound on a good vinyl pressing. Lots of the new ones sound like they would benefit more from the format than the previous stuff, so maybe the upcoming album will be a vinyl revelation. I also reckon the black Teeth Dreams version sounding good. But not a big step up from listening to it via Spotify. I would love to hear if any of you have different experiences. I don't think it's the main reason, but as I said, my current stereo system isn't exactly perfect for big guitar rock records. Still, Hold Steady LPs sound significantly more bad than a lot of other guitar stuff I happen to own on vinyl.
