Even the thought of this being an actual possibility is dizzying. Summer '15 I watched the Lifter Puller reunion via YouTube with a newborn boy in my arms. December '16 I caught some of the Brooklyn shows in real time, 5AM in the morning here in Europe, with a newborn girl in my arms. It's never even been remotely possible to travel overseas to catch these weekends the past couple of years. Now, I think it can be done. And if it can, I want to catch all four shows.

A bit early to speculate, but what are your guesses/hopes for the support acts? Is it totally off to wish for Lifter Puller again? After a third solo release, I think it would be decent with Craig opening for himself as a solo artist as well, but I'm not sure how that sits with Hold Steady as a band. I'm dreaming of Dillinger Four as well, and on the likeable and more likely side, I wish for Titus Andronicus or So So Glos. I saw them open for Hold Steady in Cologne in 2014, and they were amazing.

I thought there were going to be more 4 day passes on sale this morning for the general sale, but I guess not. Went on this morning right as the sale started and Saturday was already appearing as sold out.

TA is always a good bet! A (basically) local band and huge friends with THS. I wouldn't count on Lifter Puller. As for a CF solo set, I think you're right about it maybe being awkward. I'm sure the band mates would be OK with it, but I don't think CF would do it. In the same vein, the only THS song ever plays at his solo sets is Certain Songs and he wrote both music and lyrics for that, so I think that's why he feels OK doing it.

Same, was up at 6:45 am PST with myself and my fiance on 6 separate devices refreshing and trying so I could get tickets for all 4 days. Fri & Sat seemed to never be released of any tickets. Friday gave me the option to add to cart finally but wouldn't process. What a complete and utter mess, from this to the pre-sale email and code never being delivered.

Oh well, wasnt meant to be and I don't need to spend 2K on a trip...

Damn really? I stand corrected! I knew he played Mission Viejo sometimes, but I didn't think he played any other THS songs solo.

I remembered TA and LP, but didn't catch that SSG was in that mix as well. That might make the whole lot less likely.

I asked Steve about it the moment the shows were announced, and he said he wasn't even aware of it. Still a possibility, I'd say, but I doubt LP will be there. If they will, I'd be fully willing to trade my Saturday ticket for the show LP is playing.

After being shut out on the pre-sale and initially shut out today on the app, my girlfriend managed to pull two for December 2nd on the website. I'm so overjoyed that I get to spend my second birthday in a row with the Hold Steady and the Unified Scene in one of my favorite cities in the world (just Brooklyn, not the other 4 boroughs).

As for openers, I'd be shocked if Titus isn't opening one of the days. I'm sure Saturday will be the one they swing for the fences with as with Lifter Puller last year. My personal hope is a Rock & Roll Means Well Tour reunion with the Drive By Truckers. They might be a little big for an opening slot, but I know they're all fans of each other. Craig even did a really cool interview with them earlier this year. Frank Turner would be another wish, he's pretty big too, but he's a THS superfan and he has been known to open for bands he really likes. Those are pretty big long shots, but I'd kill to see both.
