I ran in to my buddy who works at French Kiss last night. The reissues are coming out on Nov. 11. The CDs will have bonus tracks. I'm not sure about the vinyl.

kinda hoping the LPs are just like the OP. If they include bonus tracks, hopefully they are at least on a separate LP. I feel like bonus tracks would kinda ruin the "theme" aspect of those records.

THEY'RE HERE!
edit: a little disappointed the bonus tracks won't be on the vinyl but hey, what can you do. I wouldn't want Killer Parties and Resurrection to not be the last songs and a separate record just for them would crank up the price too much. Maybe saving them for that comprehensive rarites box set...

As I'm not a vinyl collector and I have most of the bonus-tracks (though not on any physical format), I was most excited by the Separation Sunday T shirt!
(I have something of a T shirt addiction - I think I might have mentioned that before)
Wish I could just get the shirt...

I never thought I'd see the day where we get SEPARATION SUNDAY BONUS TRACKS. I always assumed none existed. Cool to finally get a studio version of 212 Margarita, plus a brand new Separation Sunday-era song?! I'm trying not to get too excited because November 11th is ages away. This cheered me up a lot.

I'm excited about the SS t-shirt as well! Less excited about being poor and the $35 shipping cost to the UK for both records, although going for the t-shirt bundle doesn't add any extra... I'll see what my money situation is like in a couple of months or else I'm going DIY iron-on. Does anywhere say anything about how limited the pressings are?
Oh yeah, I meant to ask if The Most Important Thing was completely "new", and it seems like it is!

With the time between each new Hold Steady item being so long, I just went with both vinyl + t-shirt bundles. $115 is steep, but it's okay. The AKM original vinyl was pretty expensive when I finally found it, and I've spent that amount of money on far less useful things than Hold Steady vinyl and t-shirts.
What got me most excited was The Most Important Thing - a song I don't recall ever being mentioned around here. Something completely new, from THAT era. I really hope it lives up to the expectations!

Just looked at prices including shipping to UK - I think I shall pass on this one. That is totally understandable. I had to ship some of my work recently to the U.K and to Australia and I about shit when USPS gave me the shipping costs. I had way underestimated the amount when I sent my pricing.

I actually thought the shipping price was ok, ordered both cd's and vinyl - although it's the vinyl I'm looking forward to the most - always wanted to hear SS in that format - and hey, I'm getting both LP's and CD's with shipping for under $100. Glass full :-)

Definitely excited about The Most Important Thing, would love the t-shirt too, just don't know if I can do the UK postage right now. When shipping costs nearly double the price of something it just feels a bit difficult to justify pulling the trigger on - not that I'm complaining, I know that's generally how across the pond shipping is. Will have to see if I get impulsive in that little window between pay day and rent day. Looking forward to hearing people's opinions on the remasters too.

Awesome. I already have the records on wax but I may have to check out the remastering! I bought 212-Margarita on iTunes... I love this song but I can see why this version of it didn't make the record. I don't think this recording encapsulates the energy of the song the way it has been played in recent years, still nevertheless great to have for the collection.

There's a couple of live versions out there, plus an acoustic version was released on iTunes on the Virgin Digital Sessions. This one definitely isn't the same as the version I had already, which is the Virgin Digital Sessions one. I think I like the tinkly piano in the older version a little better, though that might be mostly familiarity. There are a few lyrical changes too, I think. I didn't have "Milkcrate Mosh" before, so that was great to get.
