Is there a specific claymation involving a fawn? I can only think of bambi (not claymation) or rudolph the claymation reindeer.
And there's no prince in either of those, and Disney wasn't big on claymation.
I think this is the best rhyme on the whole album, and I'm starting to think form precedes function here.
I'm barely hanging on
Like some claymation fawn
In the blue light of dawn
And now she's up in her room
She's watching Disney Cartoons
She's always cries when they're kissing the prince

That was clever as hello. Props to the claymator.

I absolutely love this. Especially The Devil and John Berryman.
Superb.
Hats off to whoever created this.

I have come to the conclusion that this line is obfuscation for the sake of a nice rhyme, and that that stanza is an (unintentional?) tribute to Bob Dylan and more even more obliquely a tribute to Semolina Pilchard.
