Hello all - does anyone know if Craig or any of the guys have any football/soccer allegiances over here in the UK? I know they're big MBL fans, but if there's a football link, I'd love to get them on Football Focus on the BBC to take on Lawro at Focus Predictions. Answers on a tiny postcard.....

Craig is interested, he's in our Unified Scene Fantasy League (see thread on the General board) and follows the fortunes of QPR.

QPR? I'm guessing that's through Michael Hann at the Guardian?

I just though somebody was entering using his name as a nick. I remember Craig performing in a Newcastle United shirt somewhere in England. I guess it was the sponsor (Northern Rock) that caught his attention.

Seriously, if Craig has any kind of affiliation to a club (and knows a little about the EPL), it would be great to get them on in October. We've had a few bands take part on the show - The National, Courteeners, Johnny Marr to name but three.

As a Sunderland fan, I sincerely hope Craig will not be donning black and white at the Newcastle gig, even though I realise I'll be deep in enemy territory...

I am currently Vice Chairman at Bungay Town FC, we are as low as you can get football level wise, however we do try & punch above our weight publicity wise. If any of the bands inner circle read this then how about Craig taking the stage in London or Paris in a Bungay Town shirt? It's the sort of thing that we can turn into great publicity for ourselves & might give the band a few plugs too. Here's a link to something we did two years ago for a bit of fun which went worldwide. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzPRICNmE5w

I believe this autumn he will be fortunate enough to be in the away end at a Rangers game. He does of course, have a 100% record watching QPR. In that they managed a hugely unlikely 3-2 win over Liverpool in his only other game. It obviously made a huge impression on him, because even being forced to go to see Chelsea in one of their money-spinning US summer visits couldn't sway him to the Evil Empire.

At Bungay Town FC we've been having great fun grabbing the news headlines as a part of National Non League Day here. We somehow managed to make it to Fox Soccer.com 's website where we've earned the accolade of "Our new favourite amateur soccer club". If you're interested it's the entry for 4th September, if you're not interested it's still the entry for 4th September. Not bad for a town of 5,000 people.
