I paid 72 each for my tix, I would have rather done the pledge but I had no idea where or when they were. So I couldnt really buy that. I figure I got a deal. The most I ever spent on a THS show was The Beacon Theatre Show....and that was the worst show I ave been to. I hope history does not repeat. Just out of curiosity, what was so bad about that show?

edit: ugh, never mind. the tv show i work on is shooting its pilot that week. i wanna go somewhere warm if i'm gonna do the crazy traveling for a THS show thing!!!

It looked like the band had set up for a battle of the bands on the stage of MSG. They. Looked dwarfed by the surroundings . In turn I think they turned everything up to 11 to compensate. It was just way too loud ( and I go see The Thermals soI know what loud is). The connection between. The band and the audience was lost. It was like giving a fish a new Harley. The fish was cool , the Harley was loud and fast! but neither could work together? It was also the moment I knew THS would never go "bigtime" . They we're never gonna be REM or Nirvana. In all honesty, its great to see them back at the bars.

What about this show made you think the band would never reach a bigger level of popularity? I guess you already detailed a few reasons. But was the sold out crowd reacting in a lackluster way to the show?

The venue may have been sold out but it was not full. The Webster Hall show was called a fiasco but I just recall it as being shortened because of the nightclub scene, I remember after that show winding up at Bowery Electric hanging with Bobby and Tad....so it wasnt a bad night. There was some actress there who had just gotten out of rehab and was quite loose. The bouncers kept taking cameras from people.

Has anyone that got in on the Brooklyn show via the Unified Scene package gotten their ticket yet? Still no sign of it
