Loving this so far. I must be the only person who doesn't find his voice like marmite but it's such a brilliant set of songs that it pushes it towards a masterpiece.

Hmmm, intrigued by this post I sought this ought. Never heard of this band. The one little snippet I was able to listen to at work has convinced me to get this album. That and the glowing reviews from you folks. In the event that I don't like the album I assume you all will reimburse ?
upon further review... may be a little heavy on the marmite lol but we shall trudge forward and see

i do love this album but man it kinda gets fucking tedious about 12 tracks in.

its weird...one man's boring/tedious is another's cohesive. i really like how it all sorta sounds like one big piece. it unifies everything, and there are repeating melodic phrases like a real rock opera.

It's certainly cohesive, but I find it would be nice to have a bit of variation in there. I've only listened to it in it's entirety twice but the only track I can really remember is The Other Shoe and the rest blur together. I do really like it though...

I do like the album as a whole and I know they are telling a story, but I do wish they could have told it in 20 less minutes.
Even at that I have mostly listented to tracks 2-6

Even at that I have mostly listented to tracks 2-6 Thats what I said about the Monitor. I like both records but there are way too many unnecessary, huge gaps and adds a bit of a "pretentious" sheen to it.

tedious does not equal boring! i figured you meant it as in monotonous, and it does all sort of blend together and have the same feel. but i like that about it! it ties it all together sonically

Totally enthralled with this album now. It's really the only music I've listened to in the past week.

I agree on all counts. At first thought it was too lengthy, but it has grown on me. A hardcore "Tommy".
