Unreal show. Valentines is so much smaller than I remember. I need some more time to chew it over, but I'm thinking that that was the best THS show I've ever seen. Just a massive, massive night.

Very good show.
Very great show.
Wonderul to meet up so many people: Jonesie, Juliet, Bible (Mark), Brendan, Kim, Emily, Aimee, John Cake, RobBass, the awesome Heidi and company. Only bummer was not meeting PA Rock in person. I felt you man, just didn't meet you.
Good times scenesters. All my best to Brendan and the travellers

That's unreal. I thought Melkweg in Amsterdam was small, but that's just unreal. Wow. So fuckin' jealous. Looking forward to May!!!

Wow. Last night was my first THS show and what better place to see them than a fraternity house basement (actually, our basement was bigger). That was the best rock and roll show I've seen since I first saw Bruce play our school in 12/75. That show was a lost show; no setlist or recording exists. So thanks so much for posting the pics, setlist, and especially the videos; I was standing right in back of the video guy so that was just perfect; it will keep the memories fresh. Thanks to all the nice folks I met and hope to see you at many more shows in the future.

I'm about the biggest Bruce fan you'll ever meet...THS is the closest band out there to rivaling Bruce as a live act

This is better. My first Bruce show was 76. While Bruce's lyrics cover more of a broad base, I think Finn's lyrics and the way he hammers them home, make for a more intimate , meaningful show. He IS singing to you. Not to mention, the bands pretty tight.

I can't speak to seeing Bruce in a small venue like that seen him in convention hall (3K) a handful of times and once at Stone Pony for a couple songs I can't even imagine the gigs at The Bottom Line

Ya know how I know The Hold Steady are getting good? The reviews/Comments are starting to say they suck. That they sold out. That they are too big for their britches. That it all sounds the same. That the show is full of hipsters That the show is full of frat boys That only ugly chicks attend. This to me is all good news. It means that someone is worried about these fucking upstarts. I hope this all continues, as the last two shows were pretty damn good.

good times. now back to the grind.
i liked the people nearby who looked down at the mini bottles of makers that littered the floor around me and said something along the lines of "underage people really shouldnt be drinking at shows"

this writer also misspells "matthews" and refers to "constructive summer" as the "title track" of stay positive. WTF? i think he meant well, at least.
