With the Canadian tour coming up, and Franny, Miss Alabama, Emily and I making the entire trek across the country from Vancouver onward, keeping the video blogs going is something I've been tossing around to-do or not to do for quite some time now.
I can do several things here: continue as I have, quit while I'm ahead, or simply scale back. Or, the following idea.
I've been tossing around the idea of doing a short film to encompass the entire trip, packing in more details I can't quite get little videos currently, anecdotal information, and things like that. Then I'd edit it together at the end of the tour. The reason I do these so everyone can see what goes on at shows that can't be there, and to be able to take part in the experience at least a little bit.
I'd appreciate the feedback!

b man, you know i love these, but i know that it takes a lot of effort (and energy, which you need for the shows) to make them after every show. so i think making one documentary type thing, with little stories and shots from each show sounds just perfect. i don't want them to die forever because it is one of the few times i get to see you guys and those guys in action.
p.s. the option of 'you smell' will be too much temptation for some.

You, Emily, Franny and Ms. Bama are touring across Canada? Keep the cameras rolling dude. Call Scorsese and see if he wants to direct. I want to see every minute of that trip. Priceless.

I like the format as is. However, a short compilation at the end would also be cool!

Those videos wouldn't be the same without that dashing dashing, kim, who thought of the videos in the first place (and don't deny it, Brendan). Sincerely signed, the dashing Miss...er...Mik ... yes...

I like what you did on that first trip. Each show another episode, then a follow up with outtakes.
Either way you choose, I will watch it, and it will be great.

I like the VBlogs like they are, but both options would be cool and you should just do whatever will let you have the best time. If it's distracting you at the shows to have to think about getting enough footage for the vid, and making time for the chat and stuff then maybe do the end of tour comp, but if not then it's great having the episodes! It's all good in the hood

I agree with caz, but I prefer the nature of the posted entries more. It's like an ongoing serial. Like Pavlov's dogs.

They are perfect just the way they are. They sucked me right in. If the technology had existed in the 80's me and my friends would of done shit like that on Dead tour, or on the legendary R.E.M. trip of Nov 87.

I love them the way they are, especially when you attend a string of shows. It is great to be able to check in each day along the way to see what is going on. It's even fun for us to check in when we were at one of the shows you cover. But that's just honest feedback. You have to do what makes sense for you. I would hate for you to continue this way if it is somehow impacting your experience at the shows or your sanity between shows. But I don't know that it is an issue for you. I know you are sometimes displeased with the quality of the camerawork, etc., but the raw nature of getting what you get is even appealing.

I'm saddened to announce that this effort will be cut down to two video blogs, because we're only attending the Toronto shows this tour. The other shows did not prove to be financially feasible this round. I'm sorry.

Well, I'm going to look on the bright side and think about not having to worry about being videotaped. I'm more of a voice over guy myself.

I wouldn't mind seeing updates from the show in one to two minute videos and a longer more in depth piece about the trip as a whole. Because it's not just about taking us to the shows, it's about experiencing the entire trip with you guys. I don't even know you all, but I would totally pay for some gas to come along.

I'll send you more Okie nerd stuff if you take a photo of me to each show and sneak it into interviews during the VBlogs.
