Thanks so much for doing these. They are so much fun to watch. It's my favorite reality show.

depends on the act, toastie. i wasn't there and can't swear as to how mischief brew did. it's not his usual crowd of teenaged punks. so, maybe. opening acts always have an uphill battle when the crowd is hoping their set is short so that the act people came to see is on. j roddy, on the other hand, blew the hold steady off the stage at the last baltimore show. or came pretty darned close. I've seen some incredible opening act's in my time.

Yes, we know the camera work is shaky. But watch and you'll understand why.

dude, i would have been excited. i have been trying and failing erik with the full band for a couple of years now. and he's pretty swell solo. The problem with opening acts is that they dont really connect with the corwd. Even the clapping thing Craig does would help a lot. no, the problem is they're shit. the american tours don't really have that problem, though. and you don't need to showboat to connect with the crowd if your music's good. you don't even need to look up from the floor. craig gets away with it because he has the songs to back it up, but if you don't then you just look like a gurning, sweaty clown.

I thought Mischief Brew was a good opening act. Of course because New Yorkers have to be all "cool" 3/4ths of the crowd didn't show up. So playing to a small crowd doesn't exactly make it easy to get the vibe going.
Also, Brenden, thanks for putting these videos together.

Just found this thread. Judging by your camera position, I may have been right behind you Brendan at the Iowa City show. Sorry if I sweated all over you, that was a rowdy joint. I think I may have also seen a few of yinz before the show waiting in line. I had an Iron City Beer t-shirt on and was near the front of the line.

You making the trek to Chicago next Sunday? Should be incredible.

Unfortunately I was going to go to Madison and stay with a friend of mine that lives there but I'll be in Delaware.

I've just caught up on this! Awesome! Nice job guys, very entertaining and lovely to see all the scene getting messy together The dance party in NY is particularly great, and very surreal and cool to see our Hannah in NYC!

Thanks for linking your write-up. Just another way to keep living the moment. And I don't even want the Paul Westerberg story. I do, but I don't. I have this great vision of him chasing you around Minneapolis each day, never leaving you alone, and of course trying to kill you - this would be a great B movie. As for the camera work - PLEASE - I am just thankful you were there to capture it and it only helps to capture how crazy the moment was.
