She also put together the Lifter Puller book if I'm not mistaken.

She also put together the Lifter Puller book if I'm not mistaken. She did PR for Puller, and has been longtime friends with the band. She has a lot of excerpts in the Puller book, and yeah, if she didn't put the book together, she at least got all the interview bits collected. Also, while reading the book just now, I came across mention of a Lifter Puller / Dillinger Four show that they played on a riverboat floating down the Mississippi river. I should just stop going to concerts, because nothing will ever be that cool.

if theres no horn(s), keys and an extra guitar makes the most sense it's a guitar driven album and craig doesnt play much guitar

I almost wanted stop following this board until the album comes out or there are more live bootlegs... This anticipation is putting such a cramp on my study habits...
Craig needs to keep a guitar. What the hell would he do during the extended solos. Plus three guitars lead to Lynyrd Skynyrd covers...

That "holy cow, Franz is killing it-wait! Now Tad's rocking out! Oh! Back to Franz!" dance/shuffle thing. You know what I'm talking about.

I wonder if the 6th guy would be kind of a utility guy, like guitar, accordion, harmonica, maybe backing vocals. Like Scott Thurston with the Heartbreakers.

Whatever they're doing, I'm just glad that they're going to be able to fill out the sound. A stripped down 4-piece would be awesome, but it just wouldn't be the same.

He's killing it-now he's killing it!" is much more exciting than pointing with a finger. I remember the encore of the 2004 vote for a change tour... Michael Stipe looked a little out of place because all he had was a tambourine. I guess I just like me some guitar. Either way, it's bound to be awesome.

I'd definitely miss the guitar hanging on Craig, but the addition of a more talented guitarist to take his place would help the sound more than it would hurt the show. Michael Stipe can't make a tamborine work like Phil Collins, he can't make empty hands work like Craig Finn, and he definitely can't fumble through the jitterbug.

Thought: They might have accidentally hit the 6 key instead of 4

Thought: They might have accidentally hit the 6 key instead of 4 As it was written out as "six-piece", not "6 piece", I find that very unlikely.

Slash Wolverine Look-a-like. there's some Aussie metal/heavy rock band with a frontman who has perfect Wolverine hair. i've never seen them live THS need Joanna Newsom on harp. and backing vocals. and backup literary referencing

I heard it's a horn section. Someone said something about this being the reason Mike Soprano left Streetlight Manifesto, idk.
